How Do I Reset My Aprilaire Water Change Light?
Aprilaire’s Water Change light is designed to signal you when it is time to change your water filter. This indicator light will come on for about 10 seconds every hour and blink three times. If the blinking red light bothers you, there are two ways that you can reset it:
1) You can simply press the “RESET” button on the back of the unit.
2) By pressing and holding down both buttons on either side of the RESET button at once, then releasing them after five seconds.
This second option may be more convenient if you have an Aprilaire 6500 or 6800 model, which has double panels with push buttons instead of a single panel with one button like earlier models do.
Aprilaire Water Change Light- If you have an Aprilaire 700 or 760, the reset procedure is a little different. For these models, you need to press and hold down the fan button and the light button at the same time for five seconds, then release them.
Aprilaire Water Change Light- No matter which model you have, be sure to wait at least 30 minutes after resetting before trying to change the filter. This will give your unit enough time to detect that you have installed a new water filter cartridge.
How to repair the Aprilaire humidifier water panel light?
Aprilaire Water Change Light- If you are having problems with your Aprilaire Water Panel Light coming on, there are a few things that you can do to troubleshoot the issue.
Aprilaire Water Change Light- First, make sure that the light is not just turned off. To do this, press the light button on the side of the unit. If the light comes on, then it is just turned off and you can press the button again to turn it off.
If the light is not just turned off, try pressing the RESET button on the back of the unit. If this does not work, you may need to replace your water panel cartridge. You can find these cartridges at most hardware stores or online.
Aprilaire Water Change Light- Once you have replaced the water panel cartridge, be sure to wait at least 30 minutes before the next water change.
If you have a model 700 or 760, then you can simply press both buttons on the side of the unit at once for 5 seconds to reset your light indicator.
